A day at Mineral Wells....

Monday, April 12, 2010 | |

What a great saturday! i drove 6hrs up to Mineral Wells to see some amateur drifting and to do the photoshoot for s3. Finally met James Evins. we chatted and chilled all day with people that he rolled in with (Robert with the maroon cressy, Lance, and Michael aka cutie pie). There werent a lot of people there but that didnt stop us from having a badass day. Robert ran NONSTOP all day. pushing his car as far as it could go. his "missile car", as he called it, was running hard, sliding well for the most part, and lookin good. he still has some bugs to sort out with the rear suspension which im sure he will work out come time for Lone Star Bash. towards the end of the day, me and James drove around the surrounding area to see if we could uncover some badass spot to shoot but we came up empty handed so we headed back to the airport. and thats where we saw a cute little spot behind a metal wall/fence that was within walking distance from the "race" track. He decided that it would be decent enough to shoot so we setup shop and he began to work his magic with some help from cutie pie. Aaron then told us that we would need to rap it up because he would have to lock up soon. so we packed up the stuff in my car and headed to the nearest hotel with robert. there we transferred the equipment back to robert's truck, talked it up reminiscing over the day that had just passed, and talking about the next day's event. I then gave them thanks for everything and said my goodbyes as they planned a trip to a local bar to relax and prepare for another day of driving. all in all the day was more than just amusing. it wasnt the same type of fun as an action packed, huge audience, drift bonanza, but it was just as great caliber wise. it was a good, chill day.

fairwell Mineral Wells. till next time.....
